The Paradise

Project Overview

The Paradise is a massive, two-day international music and arts festival set on the pristine beaches of Cap Cana, Dominican Republic. To attract a global audience and manage the logistics of a multi-stage event featuring world-class artists, the festival needed a powerful, immersive, and highly reliable website. Haketi was brought on to design and develop the central digital hub for the event, a platform that could not only generate hype and drive ticket sales but also serve as the definitive source of information for tens of thousands of attendees.

The Client

The Paradise (formerly Electric Paradise) is a premier destination music festival produced by a collaboration of major event promoters including PAV Events and Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN). The 2019 event in Punta Cana featured a world-class, multi-genre lineup with headliners like Bad Bunny, Maluma, Marshmello, and Martin Garrix. The festival’s brand was built on a unique blend of music, art, gastronomy, and technology in a luxurious Caribbean setting.

The Challenge

For an international destination festival, the website is the most critical marketing and operational tool. The success of the event depended on the website’s ability to overcome several key challenges:

  • Driving Global Ticket Sales: The site had to generate massive excitement and create a seamless path to purchase for a global audience.

  • Communicating a Complex Event: With multiple stages, dozens of artists, and a two-day schedule, the website needed to present a huge amount of information in a clear, exciting, and easy-to-digest format.

  • Capturing the “Paradise” Vibe: The design had to be more than just informational; it needed to be an immersive experience that sold the dream of a luxurious festival on a Caribbean beach.

  • Handling High-Traffic Surges: The platform had to be robust enough to handle massive traffic spikes, especially during lineup announcements and ticket on-sales, without crashing.

The Solution

Haketi built a world-class digital platform designed to be the engine for The Paradise festival, from pre-launch hype to post-event engagement.

  1. Immersive, Visually-Driven Design: We created a stunning, full-screen visual experience that immediately transported visitors to paradise. Using high-quality video backgrounds and vibrant imagery from Cap Cana, the design captured the festival’s unique atmosphere and energy.

  2. Interactive Lineup and Schedule: We developed a dynamic and interactive section to showcase the massive lineup. Users could filter artists by stage and day, listen to their music, and build their own custom schedules, creating a highly engaging user experience.

  3. Integrated Ticketing and Travel Packages: We seamlessly integrated a secure and high-capacity ticketing system. The platform also clearly presented travel and hotel packages, making it easy for international attendees to plan their entire trip in one place.

  4. Robust and Scalable Architecture: The website was built on a high-performance framework capable of managing sudden, massive influxes of traffic. This ensured 100% uptime during critical sales periods, protecting revenue and brand reputation.

The Results

The website was a critical component in the success of The Paradise, effectively serving its dual role as a marketing machine and an informational hub.

  • Successful Ticket Sales Campaign: The compelling design and seamless user experience contributed to a highly successful ticket sales campaign, drawing in a massive international audience.

  • Flawless Performance Under Pressure: The website handled all high-traffic periods without any downtime, providing a reliable experience for all users.

  • Elevated Brand Experience: The platform successfully established The Paradise as a premium, world-class festival, setting it apart from competitors.

  • Central Hub for Attendees: The website became the go-to resource for tens of thousands of festival-goers, effectively reducing confusion and support inquiries.
